Storm/Revolution and Freedom update

HS - Record 1-3

May 27
First night of games we missed some key players due to Track and Soccer. Lost to Walnut Grove and Glendale in the Ash Grove League. Addie Murders led the offense with 3 hits.

June 3
Week 2 opened with Buffalo and Bolivar got the win 9-2. Brittany Wood (WP) did a good job in the circle, walking 1 and hitting 1. We had no hits, however, we had some very good At Bats, ran the bases well and pushed across enough to get an important win.

Game 2: L - 10-0 to Pleasant Hope. Pleasant Hope scored 4 in the 3rd, 2 in the 4th, and 4 in the 6th to end the game. We put the ball in play much better tonight. We finally had a full roster present and took some good At Bats. We put the ball in play, we just could not get hit to break the ice. Julie MagaƱa had the only hit.

June 10
Storms ended the night with Bolivar trailing 5-2 to Aurora

Up next - Bolivar @ Ash Grove v. Marionville and Monett.

Freedom (14U) Record 2-4

June 1 @ Meador Park
v. PBSG Diamonds - (W, forfeit)
v. Willard - (W, 8-6) Taylor Hedges WP; Jaelyn Halbrook, Megan Elliott (2B), led the offense. This was a good game for us. Willard is a very good team and had a 5-1 lead after 1 inning. We kept chipping away at the plate and played solid defense and got the win.

June 6 @ Republic
v. Ozark Express - L (6-1)- Summer Rash, Anna Pitts both had hits
v. Ozark Express - L (6-5) - Anna Pitts (2), Jaelyn Halbrook, Summer Rash, and Brandi Kolody led the offense.

We came out very flat in game one and did not perform well. We rebounded well for game 2 and took a 5-3 lead into the bottom of the last inning. Ozark scored 2 runs with 2 outs for the win. We played much better and put ourselves into a position for a win against an Ozark team that played middle school softball and went undefeated in the COC this spring.

June 8 @ Meador Park
v. SW Wildcats (L, 7-4) Anna Pitts, Summer Rash had hits for Bolivar.
v. Ozark Express (L, 8-4) Kristin Parsons had the only hit for Bolivar.

HS and Freedom - We are pressing too much right now. We have to learn to play the game fearlessly. We need to take care of ourselves and not worry about others. When this happens, we will start coming out on the right side of the score. Both of these teams are very capable, we just have to believe that individually and as a team.
