Game 2 v. Fair Grove W, 18-12; Jenna Halbrook hit, Mackenzie Austin 3 hits, Taylor Sullivan 3 hits, Syndey Negley 3 hits (2 triples), Libby Vess 3 hits (double and triple), Miranda Lightfoot hit, Darci Cline 3 hits, Jacey Follis hit, and Lauryn Lorimore hit. “These young ladies are hitting the ball very well right now. We are making good defensive plays. I am so very proud of how much we have improved. I am encouraged with the aggressiveness this team is showing right now. Keep it up ladies!” Coach Jamie Halbrook

After Thursday night’s games we improved to 3 - 4 6/11/09 Meador Park in Springfield
Game 1 vs. Diamonds W - 16-7; AnnaMarie McGlone pitched 3 innings recording 7 strike outs in a winning effort improving her record to 2 - 2. Sydney Julien and Miranda Lightfoot led the offensive attack with hits. The Diamonds didn’t throw many strikes and we showed good patience at the plate.
Game 2 vs. Dolphins W - 18-1; Sydney Julien pitched 4 innings recording 7 strike outs in a winning effort and improving her record to 1 - 2. AnnaMarie McGlone lead with Patriots with 2 singles and a double. We put the ball in play well and capitalized on errors by their defense. We played defense well. Coach Nathan Rothdiener

After Thursday’s games improved to 5-4 Game 1 v. Springfield Spirit W 11-6; Karli Duren WP; Taylor Sechler 2 hits; Brittany Briggs hit; We capitalized on walks and putting the ball in play. We ran the bases well and played well defensively;
Game 2 v. Irish W 16-3; Delpha Miller 2 hits; Karli Duren WP; Taylor Sechler hit; Haley Rauch double; Brook Townsend hit; Brandi Cline double; Tauri Hale double; Abby Toler double; Mikayln Wheelbarger hit. We continued playing good softball. Running the bases more aggressively, playing well defensively and putting the ball in play. Coach Jamie Halbrook

Monday - 6-15-09 Meador Park in Springfield: Game 1 v. Parkcrest Angels W - 16-2; Taylor Hedges WP; Anna Pitts hit, Brandi Kolody 2 hits (HR); "We did a good job of taking what they were giving us tonight. We put the ball in play when we had the chance (10 walks). We ran the bases aggressively and played well defensively."
Game 2 v. Ozark Express T 1-1; Megan Elliott pitched very well; Anna Pitts hit; Sammy Jacobson hit; Abby Martin hit; "Ozark is a good team. We had chances to push across the winning run, but were denied. Megan pitched an outstanding game and our defense did a good job of getting the outs when they mattered most. Ozark pushed across their run in the first and we answered in the 3rd."
