BSC 10U Results from Monday 7-14-08, Springfield League, Ewing Park
10U
Game 1, BSC 10U vs. WMC bombers (Win, 18-7)
Kennedy Hedges, Katelyn Warren, and AnnaMarie McGlone each had 3 hits.
We opened with 6 runs in the first and they answered with 4. We did not score in the 2nd or 3rd and they added 1 in the 3rd to make it 6-5. Then we got hot with the bats and scored 6 in each the 4th and 5th innings. This was the team we opened the season in Springfield with. Then they beat us 17 – 4. This just shows how much progress we have made this year offensively and defensively. Nathan Rothdiener
Game 2, BSC 10U vs. Parkcrest Angels (Win 20-0)
AnnaMarie McGlone, Brionna Halverson, Aleena DeRossett, Haley Stallings, Kaylie Rothdiener, Sydney Julien, and Jenna Halbrook had 3 hits each.
The girls hit the ball extremely well tonight. They did a good job of getting on base and scoring. Defensively they continue to play great, heads up softball making the right decisions and getting the outs when they need to. Nathan Rothdiener

Coming off a 10-1 loss to the Chaos last Friday, the girls were excited about the opportunity for a rematch. Brittany Wood really led the team in both games Monday night, striking out 10 in 8 innings of work, and going 4 for 5 at the plate with a grand slam. Lynsi VanTassell had a nice night at the plate as well, going 3 for 5 with a double.
We started off the evening with a bang by defeating the Dominators 21-6. The momentum carried on to the next game against a solid Chaos team. We scored 5 in the first inning against Chaos, which gave the girls the confidence they needed to stay tough the whole game. During the second inning, Wood recorded 3 strikeouts on nine pitches. The win evens our season series with Chaos at 2-2. I was really proud of the girls Monday night. They took the field with the mindset that we were the best team. They played hard until the last out and came off the field with two nice wins. - Kyle Hedges
