Our teams combined for 6 victories and 3 times the other team was just plain lucky!
Congratulations to all the players and parents and coaches. I am certain that every parent and player and coach left the ballpark today with recognition of things to work on and the pride of the many great swings and plays that were made today. I am so proud of our girls.
I took a moment, late in the day to stand with the 14U girls playing behind me, overlooking the 10U girls as they were handing M'ville their 1st loss of the season, and our 12Blues preparing for their next "victim", and saw what we have created. Tent city, coolers, parents running for whatever anyone needed. A sea of BLUE covering the complex and experiencing success. Players and Parents alike were concerned about how the other teams were doing, did you hear about Sarah's grand slam? a sense of unity. Our bonds will grow stronger, each group and each year will bring new challenges, but we don't back down, we EXPECT to win every time out and we know that we are going to have a great time doing it.
This is exactly what we had hoped for more than a year ago, the building of a ministry and softball dynasty: one swing, one chant, one pitch, or out at a time. There will be valleys that we experience and angry days, but in the end, we have already seen what can be.
Thank you for believing.
